Start with an easy conversation
Use a general opener such as “What have you been listening to lately?” or respond to a topic already in the room. Give people time to answer. An unanswered message is not an invitation to send repeated requests.
Know who will receive your message
The public composer is labelled for the room. For a one-to-one message, open a private chat and check the participant’s name in the conversation. A private chat is still a conversation with someone whose identity you may not know.
Expect different people and schedules
Ariola shows the participants who are available to you, and recent conversations appear in Chats. Online status can help you decide when to message but cannot guarantee a reply, a particular identity or a match in your area.
Respond to unwanted contact
Use the conversation’s report or block control if a person harasses you, asks for money, or sends harmful material. Keep personal documents, passwords, verification codes and exact location details out of your messages.

Ariola’s current web experience starts with public chat and lets you open a private conversation with a participant. It does not require random pairing to begin chatting.
What should I say to someone new?
Start with a short greeting or a question about a shared interest. Avoid requesting identifying details and respect a person’s choice not to reply.
Can I stop someone from contacting me?
Yes. Open the person’s report or block control and choose Block. You can also submit a report with a reason and details for moderation review.
Does a profile verify someone’s identity?
No. Nicknames, stated ages and location details are user-provided profile information. Do not treat them as identity verification.
